Horn rewiring

On my 70 truck, the horn doesn't work. Seems the Grant GT wheels are prone to non working horn buttons. So I got a new relay to test it and sure enough no horn. Got me a horn button to mount on the dash...so which wires do I splice into to wire it from the relay to the button?

Re: Horn rewiring

The ground wire that goes up the steering column. Hook that to one end of the button and the other to ground. White wire? I think

Re: Horn rewiring

Usually the horn button is an easy fix. On my Grant wheel, the horn cap pops off with a thin blade through a slot in the side. There is some help on the Grant website. http://www.grantproducts.com/default.html

Re: Horn rewiring

I have tried the horn button fix twice....I am going to wire around it. This is the second GT wheel that has done this. I fixed the first one but it failed a week later. This time I wire a horn button.

I figured someone would know exactly what wire to splice since there's so many GT wheels out there, guess I'll just have to guess at it.
