So, you get anything done this weekend?

Got a few things done on the 70. Mostly just sanding. It gets slow when you have get into the details area. Hopefully in a few weeks I get shoot some primer on it and see where we go from there.

Couple friends acquired a new wheels. The one is a 58 Delray. 75K original miles. Real nice shape. I wish I had looked at it several months ago when it was mentioned being for sale. Original paint and she fired up after cleaning out the 15 year old gas.

Board member EdB also go a new toy for his stable. 93 C4 Vette.

So I drolled some this weekend and actually spent some time on my truck. How about you folks?

Re: So, you get anything done this weekend?

friday, got the intake and valve covers back from the bead blaster and mounted the intake up, taped up the covers to repaint, then got stupidly drunk and passed out on the floor.

saturday, puke and hangover till 6pm, totaly my own fault, went out with same freinds and drank colas this time

sunday, cut down a tree and went wheelin, watched a kid bust a rear link bar and spent 3 hours getting him out and running again.

i have to work early and out of town tommorrow ao nothing but laundry tonight. still didnt paint the valve covers.

Re: So, you get anything done this weekend?

Friday I got a call from my carb man that my Holley is done. I should have it by mid week. Now I need to port match the intake and finish up the fuel system. Other than that I worked Saturday and took my wife out for her birthday today.

Pulled the truck out of the garage...pulled it back in...pulled it out...pulled it back in...
But we did get a rollcage in the newest tough 'truck'...those little Honda CRX's fly nice! (but have a tendancy to land greasy side up...

Pulled it out of the garage and left it running while I spent about twenty minutes cleaning out the garage. I had too many boxes stacked around it and it was starting to make me nervous.

Re: So, you get anything done this weekend?

Found a round tuit today an worked on the wifes 56 Belair. It has been sitting for 5 years. Changed the oil, put in new plugs, points, rotor and cap. Then installed a new electric fuel pump. Primed the carb and it fired up on the first crank. Made many browny points with my wife today. Probly will lose them all tomorrow.

Re: So, you get anything done this weekend?

Put my interior together. I had torn my brand new seat cover and I fixed it with the $10.00 vinyl repair kit. After dying the seat to match the rest on the interior, most will never know. I also broke the second windshield I tried to put in. Time for the professionals to try now.

Re: So, you get anything done this weekend?

tracked down my busted brake line and got it off. Sanded down the air cleaner to get ready for paint. Cleaned the junk out of the interior from the previous owner. That's about it.

Oh yeah, I also changed the plugs in my '98.

No progress this weekend - AF reserve stuff. Set up communications and 'giant voice' for the ORI (operational readiness exercise). Maybe I'll stop by and make sure everything is working during MOPP 4 alarm condition black

Finished sanding and priming one wheel hump. Then stood around staring at the windshield frame and roll bar, trying to will them to finish themselves, while drinking beer. Who says I can't multitask???
