Babymoons

Does anyone know where I can find a set of babymoon hubcaps like the ones in the picture? I had been looking for some back in the late 90s but could never find any. I wanted to put those on my 68 at one time before it was wrecked but had to go with some other wheels since I couldn't find those. I'd like to eventually find some so whenever I'm able to start rebuilding my truck I can put those on when it's done. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Babymoons

Stockton Wheel sells moon centers with a chevy emblem, not exactly like the ones in your pic but might work?? http://www.stocktonwheel.com/trims_caps.htm

Re: Babymoons

Those came factory on early second gen Camaros. Kinda hard to find in good shape. I have 2 of them and haven't been able to find 2 more for a couple years now.

Re: Babymoons

Unless you are set on bowtie baby moons, check out www.speedwaymotors.com for regular baby moons.

I would think the camaro vendors would have these caps, if they came on
early camaros.

Re: Babymoons

Used to see lots of Novas with moon caps, I wonder if they had the bowtie as well?

Re: Babymoons

I knew that they came on the early 70s Camaros, that picture is from a 1970 sales brochure that my dad gave me because he had a 1970 Camaro SS that he bought brand new and it had those same wheels and baby moons on it, he sold it to his cousin years before I was born though. Those are really the style baby moons I want, those others are like what you use on the rallye wheels, which I thought about getting a set of those if I can't find the others and painting the wheels the body color. My uncle has a set of those wheels and baby moons that his dad gave him and he put them on a 1970 Chevy LWB fleetside he bought a couple years ago and he put the chrome trim rings on the wheels and they look awesome on that truck. I keep asking him when he's going to let me take them off his hands but no such luck.

Re: Babymoons

the 3rd gen novas came with that exact same moon, bow tie and all. If your truck is a 3/4 ton, you won't be able to use it though...I tried.
