94 engine in an 86
I found a 350 engine that can replace my old one, but it's a used 94 year, GM Goodwrench crate engine and obviously this was made made for tbi/fuel injection. My question is, can this engine be fitted with my old carburator that was stock on my 86 year engine? Do I need to make any modifications, change intake or carb?

Re: 94 engine in an 86
I know you can grind out the center 4 holes of an old intake to install it on the centerbolt heads, I assume you could go the other direction as well. If you have Vortec heads GM makes a pricey intake to install a carb in place of tbi. The other consideration is that the 94 block probably does not have the holes in the fuel pump pad to install a mechanical pump. You could always put the 86 heads and intake on the 94 shortblock.
