Just picked up a 6 cyl 1 bbl air cleaner for a power brake system. This is the offset one that sat over the valve cover and not the carb. It is complete with all brackets, preheat tube and shield, wing nuts etc... Nice condition from a 72 250 cubic inch 1/2 ton 2 wd. It isn't the oil bath either. I know they are sought after, but i would like to know what people think it may be worth?

I think we paid $65 complete, but it was the oil bath variety. It was nice and clean with original factory stickers detailing oil bath servicing.

292, but we put it on a 250, so it'll work with either inline

Wow! The air cleaner assembly from my $200 Suburban I recently purchased is worth $40!? Why are they worth so much... because they are rare?

I think they are harder to find because most trucks with a 6 cyl. didn't come with power brakes. They were more of a basic truck usually...

You can also find the air cleaners on mid 70's full size vans with 292's. I got one at a local pull-a-part and traded it for about $60 worth of stuff (only paid $10).
