Project Thread:Nothin Normal
Well i have been a member here for alil while but always checked the site for info... figured it was time to show u all my 1972 C10 Project.
Background on the truck.. I am the 2nd owner and got i for $250 which was nice. This project featured a suspension and frame designed by me which features front and rear cantilever air suspension, rears watts link and anti roll bar. Drivetrain will be a 383 stroker with a 6-71 blower and NOS plate. A built T-56 will be behind it for gear selection and a 9 inch for rear. This truck also features a 3 1/4" chop top, and many other mild sheetmetal mods. Well I'll just get around to the pics.. This is my first time hostin pics so help me if i mess it up. ha thanks

Re: Project Thread:Nothin Normal
Will the transmission be serving double duty as an armrest? Seriously, that's impressive!

Re: Project Thread:Nothin Normal
alright i'll try to answer all the questions in one post (by the way i just got back from the bar so hopefully they make sense...)
yea they are the mickey thompson sportsman S/R's. They are 29x18.5x20. Yes the motor and tranny will stay that high when done.. its all about the look i want for the truck.. once the blower and carbs and scoop are on it should be level with the roof... but the funny part is with the tranny so high the driveshaft angle is almost stock which is great. Yes i am building this by myself and the tranny will make a perfect armrest The main rails i had built at autoweld in PA. they are one of a handful of places that can mandrel bend 4x2 with no kinks at all. i highly reccommend them. The 2 main rails ran just under 1g but well worth it. They were also built to my exact specs and both were identical. That watts link is a mockup version and will change alot but the dimensions are about there. I just need to make it more attractive looking and also lower profile. But it works perfect on top of the diff.. I think i covered them all.. anymore questions feel free to shoot or suggestions
