Short or long water pump stock for 1972 BBC?

Question: Which water pump was stock for a 1972 big block? Short or long water pump?

My truck is a sbc, converting to a bbc - and want to use original style parts.

That would be short. Long started in 1973 on trucks.

dangit, now I need a short pump and a whole new set of brackets for my swap. Better to know now than later ,thanks.

You want a pic of what brackets you need??.. I have a '72 cheyenne super with all correct brackets.. Just haven't installed the last of my a/c stuff
