Need Rear end suggestions

The rear end on my brothers '48 Chevy 5 window pu went out. Turns out it was a '55 or '56 rear end. Thought I had a chart on a bunch of popular rear end widths, but can't locate it! With his wheel tire combo he indicated had could use from a 62" to 64" width. What is a reasonably late model rear with that spec, small Chevy bolt pattern and maybe even disc brakes? He's located just north of Atlanta and will have a local rod shop do the swap. (He enjoys truckin', but he's not mechanically hip). Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: Need Rear end suggestions

I used a 2003 chevy S-10 Blazer 10 bolt rear and udated everthing inisde using a Z-28 Carrier and ring and pinon gears. The later model S-10 blazers used disc brakes in the rear. The two wheel drive is 58" wide and the 4X4 is 60" wide. He's a picture.

Re: Need Rear end suggestions

I'm using an '87 IROC rear end with disc brakes and 3.73:1 Hope this helps. P.S. All of the 82-92 Camaros/Firebirds should have something to offer, depending on the brakes/gears you want.
