What year are these hub caps correct for? they are for a 1/2 ton GMC

I always thought they started in`75.But,the more I learn,I believe it may have been`76.Mostly because there were other changes in`76,like:begin metric,1/2 top Blazers/Jimmys,cup holders in console?
The grilles went to flush in`75 and I always thought that was when the caps changed as well.But,was it`75 or`76 for the grille change?What year did Chevy stop the Cheyenne name???Not a hijack,just other questions that may tie it all together.

I saw a cheyenne from the 90's, but they may have brought it back for a bit.
You may well be right, it could be 75..that's why I say -ish. That gen of truck is so ugly and booring I tend to forget they even existed. Well that, and the fact that they have all rustend into dust and returned to mother earth 15 years ago in these parts. |

75 to 76 time frame. They retail new for $59 bucks. They are nice and make anything they go on look good. I like em. That style, I prefer but the 3/4 ton version won't fit my longhorn.

Yes, those hubcaps showed up around '76. They were used on the C/K trucks until '87, and then the 'old style' R/V trucks until '91. Full size vans used them through '95. The 1/2 ton versions are about 10.5" in diameter, the 3/4 ton versions are about 12". The 12" ones will fit some of the '67 and '68 GMC's with the Dana 60 rear axle.

Andy,they stopped the Cheyenne & CheyenneSuper in the first few years of the`73-ups.Then,in`88 it came back as the base model.What an insult!!
