I just got back from Australia.
You don't see to many Chevys there because it costs so much to covert to right hand drive ($10,000 to $12,000). But what you do see is the Gm built Holden. They have a Ute (as they call them) that looks like an old El camino. They come in an SS with a 6 liter engine, 6 spd trans, and rear wheel drive. I wish Gm would sell them here. They also make them in 4 door version.(bottom picture is a ford) Ford makes one very simular to Holdens.

Re: I just got back from Australia.
how come the satellite countries get all the good stuff? it's gotta be emissions and crash ratings or something. our styling here at home seems to be way behind europe and asia.

Re: I just got back from Australia.
Australia is very strict. It has to be right hand drive and has to meet 29 or 30 standards for build, safety and crash testing before it can be imported. Almost every make of truck (ute) is avaiable in a 4 door. I think the US is behind in style. Small 4 door truck have been avaiable since the late 80's.

Re: I just got back from Australia.
Isn't the bottom blue one a Ford F6 Tornado?
http://www.fpv.com.au/cars/f6-tornad.../overview.aspx The F6 270 Turbo produces its maximum power of 270kW at 5250 rpm. However, the real story is torque. All 550Nm on tap from just 2000 rpm and remaining constant all the way through to 4250 rpm. My cousin lives in Australia and purchased one, I am not a Ford Fan, but this thing must haul!
