adjusting a carb
I have a 2BBL that i think is out of adjustment, does anyone have any instructions on how to adjust one? It will run fine and if you gradually give it throttle it does just fine, but if you punch it, it will cut out and then pick back up, it's really bad if it is in gear and you are driving, it just has no power. Please help!!

Need more info-what brand of carb-new-rebuilt-just start this all at once-tells all you can about it.

Check your vacuum lines. If it's what I think it is (a back fire) maybe you should consider HEI ignition.

1st thing to do is (WITH ENGINE OFF) look down into carb while you move the gas lever-there should be a stream of gas flowing out of pump holes as soon as you move the lever. If not the pump is bad or the pump lever is adjusted wrong or the rebuilders left a check ball out. If you are not getting a pump shot I would take it back and have them replace it.
