Re: Wow! This would save some time..

Maybe somthing from a conversion company? But I am assuming that is a crash replacement part available to body shops. I just didn't think a piece of that vintage would still be around. Is it still being made? Body shops can get almost any piece of metal for a newer vehicle. My buddy's shop just changed a roof for a dodge, drilled all the spotwelds out and remover everything and put in the new roof panel and re-assembled everything and you would never know it was done. Thing is, that truck was only 3 years old and I don't figure they will keep producing that type of part 20 years from now.

I saw that a couple days ago too, I was watching it to see how much she goes for.

You would be surprised what you can find when it comes to NOS stuff still laying around. I would believe that to be a NOS piece, I don't think any company makes/made that particular replacement panel.

A member here daburb has one or two (I can't remember how many) GM NOS complete 67-72 era Suburban rear quarter panels...rocker panel to roof, front door all the way to the rear! Talk about rare! He even had an aftermarket company offer him a fair sum of money just so they could use them to make a mold. Those pieces made this rear cab panel look tiny!
