Rear Window Slider
How about some pictures of the sliders available and reccomendations on those available. I am still undecided on if I want one or not and which brand if I do decide to put one in.
Any input.. ????? Oh. The truck is a big window. |

Re: Rear Window Slider
I've always been a big fan of the sliding rear window. It makes for some nice non-turbulant air flow throughout the cab.
This is on my "some day" list |

Re: Rear Window Slider
I like the looks of yours, Stepbed. The black looks so much better than the aluminum finish that I usually see.
Any more, guys???? |

Re: Rear Window Slider
Here is mine that was on the truck when I got it. I love it and will never get a fixed window. I like mine with the aluminum because with a black truck and dark tint its an extra detail.

They are nice, but an easy access point for thiefs.

Re: Rear Window Slider
I picked up one from a board member. No pictures, because it is still on the shelf waiting to find a place in the cab, whenever I get it finally painted.

Re: Rear Window Slider
I'll be changing mine to a solid rear window myself. I liked it for a daily driver, but I'll be adding A/C so I won't need it. My wife had it installed for me for my b-day a few years ago.

Re: Rear Window Slider
Too bad we aren't closer, I would trade for a piece of rear glass, but I think shipping would kill the idea.

Re: Rear Window Slider
i have the same as everyone else. i also am getting rid of it because it's an easy access point for thieves, and you can't have crap like that in an urban setting.
if you live nearby, swing by and i'll offer you a great deal on it if you'll trade for a clean replacement.

Re: Rear Window Slider
I still have my original rear glass so I don't need another. Where are you located?

Re: Rear Window Slider
So what are the reasons for NOT having a slider (besides the security issue)?
I'd like to convert to a slider for the airflow and the room to carry some long items without having to lay them on the roof. It's also good if you've got people or a mutt in the back. The only negative I can remember from past experience is if you've got dirt or small debris in the back. The airflow throws all the crap into the cab sometimes.
