Removing Tar?
What is the best way to remove material inside the door. This stuff looks like tar. Mine is flaking off with some rust underneath, any sugestions? Thanks

I've tried many tar removers and the best thing I've found is actually plain mineral spirits. They oil chipped our road and mineral spirits was the only thing that would take it off. Also, diesel works decent on larger patches of it.

i doubt mineral spirits will do anything to the undercoating inside the doors

if you can reach it and dont mind the paint bubblin from the aplied heat on the outside of the door you could try an electric paintstripper and a putty knife for the worst part and finisch with the white spirit

i got a job again and having fun at it too idea's for the trucks and the order of things to do are taking shape and get closer to being realized , a few more months and i be able to start building for real i complete 2 of the trucks intoo running fashion one custom and one basicly stock the thirth will be sacrificed for parts |

Where exactly are you talking about? Like on the interior? Or INSIDE the door, where the window is and everything? The mineral spirits does take tar off the body. Why would I lie about something like that?

kerosene will disolve undercoating ... it's also flammable ... be careful
