Re: What did you all get done this weekend?
Finished putting my bed back together, installed a rebuilt 700R4, put on half of my new rims/tires, drove the truck on the road for the first time in 2 1/2 years.

Re: What did you all get done this weekend?
Installed a H.I.D conversion headlight set up on my 1971. I opted for the ones that actually have a low beam and a high beam. I could not wait for night to come so that I could get out and try them out. More importantly, I could not wait to make sure that I had them aimed correctly. Nothing is more annoying than vehicles that blind you because the owners are too lazy to take the time to properly adjust their headlights.

Re: What did you all get done this weekend?
scored a bbc edelbrock streetmaster intake from the pnp, also got some of the nice 2 bar style marker lights.
cleaned the dist in my long truck, it got all funky and carbon fouled and quit running on me. put loaded doors on the short truck as per its supposed to rain this week and my doors were bare. my weekend continues to tommorrow so i will be getting the oval port heads from the same bbc motor, mine are peanuts. i also put a new deep tranny pan on and you can see the bang up job i did of that. Re: What did you all get done this weekend?
Didn't do much, just washed it and cleaned it up a bit. But I FINALLY got to take a nice long cruise in it. Actually got to drive it on a 2hr trip instead of around the farm and to town.

Re: What did you all get done this weekend?
I got my beast back and have been WD-40ing everything.
Now my wing windows work, almost got the lock oon the driver's door working...it works but will not unlock with the key. I am working it out. I did remove that dreadful air blocker thingy on the front of the hood. The truck sat for two years after the woner passed and his wife did not sell it for a long time.

Re: What did you all get done this weekend?
Stopped by the machine shop and found out that I can pick up my block and heads next week.Stripped down the box I bought last winter (finally),stored the good parts and scrapped the bad ones.Found a bodyman!!cab and front end go to him in two weeks.I hope this is one of those rare times that everything goes smoothly and the truck is done on time......it could happen.Shaved the clutch linkage hole in the firewall.Started to sandblast the rad support.Quickly realized it was too rusted to warrant fixing and ordered a new one along with a bunch of other panels and patches. Finally hooked up and tried out the tig machine I bought over a year ago (works better than I hoped by the way).
Now it's time to go back to work to help pay for some of that.

Re: What did you all get done this weekend?
Not as much as I had hopped. Putting a 2" lift under her. Got half the leafs in and doing a u-bolt flip and installing a No-Spin so got that done. Cleaned off the frame and axle and painted them with Por-15. Which brings me to a question. When I cleaned the axle I found blue paint on it and numbers stenciled on the top in white. Has anyone else found that?

Re: What did you all get done this weekend?
Nothing yet really. Today I went to the first event of our Crusing The Coast show, and built a model with my son. Saturday I pulled stumps with the truck and hauled dead trees and stuff away. (fun, fun ) Hopefully I'll get some things done on the truck as I am off till the 11th, but all this Crusing all week might slow me down.

Re: What did you all get done this weekend?
Not even close to enough. All I got done was some sandblasting on the hood latch components. Next is the hood hinges and then all gets a fresh coat of black powder and baked at 400 degrees for 20 min. Let cool for 30 min. then serve.

Re: What did you all get done this weekend?
Hauled the eng/trans out and pressure washed the eng bay in prep for getting it painted. Only one blue finger-nail this time!

Re: What did you all get done this weekend?
Spent the weekend with my boys. Friday night football (we beat the in-county rivals 54-0 ), Saturday my oldest boys football team got a beating. After the game we took the camper to the lake for a few days (just got back).

Re: What did you all get done this weekend?
I picked up my new A/C cab and motor/trans donor vehicle. I had enough energy after that to clean the garage in prep for fitting a vehicle in to pull the motor/trans, primed and painted some more suspension parts and organized my parts piles. Oh, and I ran for my life around the backyard for 20 minutes from a nest or hornets i uncovered in the donor vehicle. Im sure it looked rather comical from the road...kind of like an old Benny Hill episode...without the music and women. Thanks to HartRod for leaving the wasp spray in the back of my truck!

Re: What did you all get done this weekend?
Got the bed unbolted(thanks to the torch) and taken off my 72 K20. Talk about rusty. I can see why the PO put a bedliner in. Unbolted and removed the auxiliary tanks and bed from by 72 C20. Next weekend will be installing the C20 bed on the K20.
P.S. No friends, relatives, or neighbors around so my wife helped lift the K20 bed off the frame. They're stronger than they look |

Ive had that problem a few times but I think ive found the answer. Fire up the grill and ice down a few suds...youre bound to catch a few that way!

Re: What did you all get done this weekend?
Mounted my air tank, started to run my air lines, got my power booster installed, but I still need to get the pedal bolted to the push rod. I'm a little lost as to how to do it because the coloumn is in the way.

Re: What did you all get done this weekend?
Well, I did get something done. Sandblasted and primed some of the front end parts. I also got the inner panels blasted but I didn't get them primed. Actually, I stuck them in the back of my '94 pickup in case it rained and forgot to get them out when I primed the rest of the parts..... OH WELL!!!
CRS is a terrible thing to waste so I use it when ever I can..... I need to get the white truck cleaned up. A guy from BC Canada emailed me and asked if it was for sale (he saw it on my personal web site) so I have to get some pics emailed to him. LockDoc

Re: What did you all get done this weekend?
All of my trucks are feeling neglected. I have been so busy building my shop that I havn't touched all five of them in 2 Months. I need to get back to work on them and make some profit so I can help pay for the shop. At least that is what my wife tells me.
