What to look for in a used NV3500?
I'm placing this ad here since I need a quick response. Mod's feel free to move to 'engine & transmission in a couple days.
http://portland.craigslist.org/clk/pts/214535752.html I'm consider calling on this transmission and putting one of these in my truck hooked up to an I-6. I have one in my S-10 and love the gearing and everything about it! What should I look for in a used NV3500 so that I don't get screwed over?

Re: What to look for in a used NV3500?
I am using this tranny in my 70 c-10 truck. Just check for the usual stuff like leaks, cracks in the case excessive wear in shifter mechanism etc. Look at some of the fluid if possible.
The bellhousing is a part of the transmission on these trannys. Remember that some s-10 trucks had this tranny if they came with the 4.3 v6. The s-10 is another source for this particular transmission.
