TH350 - check fluid in P or N?

I know you need to get it warmed up, but do you check the fluid with the tranny in park or neutral?

And go through all the gears, pausing in each selection momentarily. This fills the valve body and lets youy check the reserve amount, which is how it is supposed to be done.
