you have to vent the air out so it don't come back up the fill line.

i kinda have the same prolblem expcept its b/c mines in the rear tailight. You do not have enough gravity working for you to get the gas down the tube, you need to raise the filler opening to a higher point above the tank and make sure there is no dips in your filler line where gas can pull as this makes filling a slower process. It used to take me a good solid 15 min to fill the 21 gal tank

sounds like you've got enough venting, but any bends in the line would be an area to check.... anything you can do to create a straight line to the tank is optimum... any bends in the line should be gradual.

PVC??????????
What kind of pvc did you use?
Gas will eat white pvc. Make sure it's rated for gas! Also it would only take a few angles in the the pipe to cause this. another option is to get a long boat gas filler hose in place of the pvc and use gentle curves in the hose and it should be fine. Keep any low pitched lengths to a minimum. Denny |
