Anyone ever seen this emblem?

I just won it on ebay last night. I have never seen one that was blue.

Re: Anyone ever seen this emblem?

that must've been painted because the only ones that i've ever seen are red and that was on any color truck that you got

Re: Anyone ever seen this emblem?

I have a pair of nos 20 emblems like that. I have also seen them in gold/yellow color. Maybe van bodies? I will look to see what the part number is to see if it is vintage correct...

Re: Anyone ever seen this emblem?

As sharp as the corners are on the numbers and the bowtie, it looks like a newer than 72 piece to me.

Re: Anyone ever seen this emblem?

Same blue bowtie/10 emblem on both sides of my '68, and as far as I can tell, never been changed-out or painted. Must have been an occasional-thing, depending on what they had in hand at the factories.....

Re: Anyone ever seen this emblem?

Part number on my nos bowtie/20 in blue is 3893752, And another number above it is 3956975. I would have to say it is period correct for 67-72. Whether it is truck or otherwise...

Re: Anyone ever seen this emblem?

Is the mounting surface curved like a PU fender or flat like a StepVan? A PU emblem can be painted to match any color.
