Got my 2.5' stainless exhaust kit today.

Has anyone else gone the stainless route? Did you use a x-pipe or a h-pipe. How does it sound?

I say it is a kit but I just bought 24 feet of pipe, 2 45's and 2 180's. I will have to cut and weld everything up.

generally speaking an h-pipe will provide a more responsive low end with
an x-pipe filling a higher rpm void
either way one or the other should be used for proper scavenging

I think I will go with the h-pipe since it will be a little easier to fab up.

Pics are good, a FAQ article is even better.

I will post some pics when i start the process. I am waiting on the weather to turn cold so I will quit driving it. I got all the stuff from stainlessworks.com because I won a $200 gift certificate at the Nashville Good Guys. I think with shipping and everthing the bill was only $330.00

Re: Got my 2.5' stainless exhaust kit today.

*post-jack, well sort of*

I've also been thinking about an exhaust for the Blazer lately. Mine is literally rotting off the truck, I squeaked by on my TX inspection last November but I know it will not pass this year in NC. So I think I will get the LMC turbo system (I know, cheap) and build an H-pipe into it for a couple extra $.

I'm just looking foward to hearing myself think when driving the Blazer. That hasn't happened in the nearly 2 years of ownership!

Good luck with it!
