Question I need help

I Just bought a 1972 jimmy from the original owner it as a 454 ls5 1970 stock that's about all I know about it this is my first real project.

The Body is in near mint condition no rust at all and original paint

the mecanic is in good shape also but it as been stopped for the last 5 years.

So I need advices on what to do what not to And also if you have good web adress or real one for parts body and mechanic , I live in quebec and did not find much here yet.

The first things to check are the rubber parts. Carb, brake lines, fuel lines, ect. Replace all hoses and belts. Run it a while... it'll let you know.

Everything stepside said and the filters especially the gas filter .change the fluids too.
All the vendors on this board should be able to help you with part
if not post in the Parts forum

need help

I`ve always heard you should pull the plugs and squirt a few drops of oil in the cylinders before you fire up an engine that has been sitting that long.
