lowest option truck
I was working on my truck the other day, and it reminded me (while digging through the glove box) that my truck has VERY few options, and I was wondering what the lowest number of options was that anyone had on their truck. I have a C20 4wd with a 250 and a 3 on the tree....my options include medium green paint, black vinyl int. trim, a step bumper, and a heavy duty clutch.......can anyone beat (or lose) to 4 total options?

Re: lowest option truck
I'm pretty sure there was a board member (racedvl??) that just had "Paint". Funny thing is paint is pretty much a necessity rather than an option. I recall it was a white truck and as far as I know you couldn't get a paintless truck from the Factory...lol.

Re: lowest option truck
I can't recall the base colors, but there was a color paint and int that would not be listed on the SPID.
jason'r (racedvl) had guages on his... I think that was it. jacobs... you had a 69 that listed a heater as optional equipment? They became standard in 67. I thought I kept it... I had a photos of a spid that only listed the model number and the VIN. |

jacobs... you had a 69 that listed a heater as optional equipment? They became standard in 67. QUOTE] I was only going by memory which Isn't too good sometimes. If that is true, it didn't have any options except paint. It was truely a bare bones pickup. I traded that pickup in 1970. |

Re: lowest option truck
Not to many options but truck was free so I am very happy. Was told by my friend it was a 67, looks like a 68. I don't have the paper work yet maybe someone can tell by the vin.

Re: lowest option truck
action, if you look at the 5th letter of your vin, you will see that it is an 8, meaning 1968.

Re: lowest option truck
Thanks, I don't really care if it is a 67 or 68 Just don't want to call it one if it is the other.
Thanks Jack |
