Re: 1978 Indy 500 PU

About 4 or 5 months ago there was a 2 wheel drive version of the same truck on ebay . I almost bought it and had already checked the shipping etc but decided to let it pass since it wasnt a GM prepped vehicle . Hop Cap had the trucks done from the information I found . It was a neat truck and had the original paint ,bucket seats , red rallys etc but needed to be restored . I probably should have bought it since it only brought about $2200 . I think they are neat trucks though . Speaking of trucks , Ken , you should have bought this one to display with the Cheyenne . This truck is unbelieveable !

Frank, I saw that one. I would love to have it. Actually I would be happy with those floor mats...

Re: 1978 Indy 500 PU

Here's what the actual GM produced trucks looked like for the 78 Indy 500. Replicas were not offered to the public through dealers like they were in 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, 80 etc...

Re: 1978 Indy 500 PU

That is the kind of indy special I was thinking of. The first truck is very nice, but 21,500 is quite a bit of a stretch in my opinion.

That's really nice. I wonder why the grille was replaced with 435 miles, though.
