My blazer is a little pouched

Well I had "started" a frame off resto on my 75 about a year back, got it stripped, needed lots of work and I ended up buying a model A to start building. So in the meantime while building my A, my blazer's tub sat behind the garage on some blocks without a frame.

So fast forward, I'm moving to my first house, currently renting, so I went to load up the blazer to get it ready to move. The blazer on the other hand had other plans. Seems that its years with me offroading left a bit of mud in the rocker boxes. Which sat and completely rusted them out, along with the rockers and some surrounding floor steel. Upon jacking it up the cab flopped forward to where it was about 2' away from the top, I decided there was no way I was ever going to be able to get it anywhere near back in alignment and it was a little to far gone that I cut her in half by the firewall.

Now the stubborn old girl is waiting for the steel guys to come pick her up for scrap. Its really to bad I had started getting excited about finishing her in the last few weeks, I guess all thats left now is to find a latemodel K5 and stick the top and the windshield surround on.

Unfortunately, that looks like a familiar site... I've got Blazer body pieces all over my side yard.

So, you are keeping the frame? Putting that top on a newer K5 will be awesome.

Whoa Whoa. Before the scrap man comes and gets it, would you have time to cut the two small plates at the top of the doors out for me??

That is a shame to see but such is the fate of many blazers. Looks like alot of useable interior parts are going with it. But the way what type of modle A is it? did you restore or hot rod

Save the windshield pillar, top, and doors, and all hardware associated with the top. Those are really hard to come by.

Aaron what pieces do you need I will see whats on the doors, its been two years since I've seen them so I can't remember. I believe I have the top and maybe lower plastic pieces that came with truck if thats what you mean. I also have NOS uppers and lowers, which I'm keeping.
The top is defiantly in the keep pile, along with the whole front firewall and windshield thats pictured.
The frame was in decent shape but the steering box area was toast. Its going to the scrap as well, since I cut it in half so I could drag it out of the garage by myself. lol
I really like the idea of a 89ish k5 with a tbi and full top but I like the 73-79 frontend better on a 4x4. Speaking of 73-79, I'm wondering if anyone has any trim pieces for the doors like mine has? I have the passenger side but not the driverside. I really like this pattern and have seen too many like this. Has anyone else seen this trim? Pic attached
The model A is a hotrod, not a huge fan of stock stuff. I built a frame for it, extended a 9" for the rear, setup a 4link, built a custom tube floor, etc, etc
will be just a 350/350 unless I can find a hemi before its done lol.

also kept the VIN tag by the door. Considering cutting if off the frame, just in case I ever have to "make" another 75 blazer, one I already own.

sorry probably more of a hassle shipping than it'd be worth.
its just a factory piece, sure you could get one in a junkyard.
