Speaker Kick Panel Install
I'm stoked that people make aftermarket stuff for these vehicles but they should probably include installation details. I bought one of those kick panel speaker units, can anyone tell me how these are supposed to be installed? Glued, bolted?
Thanks, Whit |

Re: Speaker Kick Panel Install
Yeah I remembered putting them in one of my coustomers trucks. It was real fun! On kick panel needs the upper part cut off up by the firewall, forgive me I forgot which side it was. I took several paint sticks cut the m in to small peaces and glued them doubled up on the back. And when it came time to to install them I put liquid nails on them and set them in place and used probably 6 small trim screws to hold it in place. I put 2 where they would be hidden by the door weatherstripping and the others is your choice where to put them or just hope the glue holds. i used liquid nails to glue them in. I agree they look nice but didint complete the enginering on how to install them.

Re: Speaker Kick Panel Install
That's weak. They could have molded in some bosses so we could mount them easily. Plus the vent puller mounts will need to be worked into the picture somehow. I paid way to much for a product that needs fabricated to work.
Thanks, Whit |

I Purchased A Set From Ebay That A Guy Makes Himself.they Were Very Cheezy And After Reworking Them So They Fit, The Park Brake Lever Needed To Be Bent At Least 2 Inches Toward The Brake Pedal To Clear.which Is Alright For An Automatic But Wouldnt Work On A Standard.i Figure To Use Them On A 67 Im Building.good Luck With Yours.

Re: Speaker Kick Panel Install
I have them as well, but haven't gotten far enough on my interior to figure out how to mount them yet
