throttle cable questions...

Good Morning Motor heads. I know that the 72 pick up throttle cable is 18" long with a 7" housing for a combined length of 25". Will a 24" aftermarket braided cable work in it's place since a new bracket will be utilized instead of the old 7" one? Would a lokar cable be the wisest choice? I'm hooking up a 670cfm holley with a turbo 400 behind the 350. Eventually I will be installing a 406 ci smallblock with dual fours in the 350's place Would now be the time to install the 36"cable in preperation for the added height of the tunnelram and dual fours with 2" spacers? Thanks fellas. Mark.

Re: throttle cable questions...

I think a 24" should be plenty for either setup. But if you put install it on your first setup, you may not want to trim it if your going to reuse it on the dual setup. I bought a 24" Lokar for mine and trimmed off a lot of it, maybe a foot or so.
