I'm at a crossroad with the panel truck. I have had this for sale all summer, running driveable condition and have not had but two calls on it and not one offer.
Am I asking too much? A few guys who know these trucks have told me to ask more, but I can't even get offers at $2,400.... Here is the classified ad on the forum: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/c...uct=39&cat=500 I really need this thing gone. I'm thinking I'll just part it out and be done with it before the snow flies. What do you guys think? |

Re: My 1967 Panel Truck
I think rust always scares people away, but if its a rare truck, wouldn't that make people more interested?

I understand the market for this thing is very small, but I've had it posted in quite a few places online including Craigslist. ![]() |

Re: My 1967 Panel Truck
Rust and distance. I live in AZ and have had guys fly here from Canada (North of Detroit 3-4 hours) and drive home rust free cars and Blazers I have sold in the past. And it is a a panel....rare is relative when it comes to these things, hemi rare and panel rare are different animals. Start at $1500 and go from there. I sold qksilver my 72 all original burb with very little rust for $2k and he drove from NC and towed it back, so that should give you an idea on value/worth. I don't mean to offend.

![]() I completely understand what you are saying about distance and 'rare'. I've had people offer $1K under my asking price for vehicles I've sold in the past at this price level. I have not had one single offer. For this one. I guess I'm tired of having it around. If someone was interested enough, they would talk money in a minute, but I have had none of that so far. I can easlily part what little is left and sell them much easier IMO. Not sure what I'm going to do yet... I appreciate the input ![]() |

Re: My 1967 Panel Truck
i have relitives that live in good rich county and flint and would love to have that panal but i don't have the money right now. Panals are the best looking ones in my opinon. and the one you have there has rust but is still very fixable man. if i had the money i would be all over it very rare and it is in nice shape for an MI truck. buy the way were was it built? Flint? Anyways i hate to say it but if you want to sell it try ebay. I really do wish i had the money though that is one sweet panal!!!!!!!!! The only thing i have of that kind of value is my 84 and i just can't let her go but man that panal is nice i mean i have some money but i am in school and 2400 is just too much for me to spend.

Re: My 1967 Panel Truck
I thought about your pannel a few times but the drive to pic it up would have been to far so I waited for somthing closer. I alway thought a 4x4 pannel would have been cool to build

Re: My 1967 Panel Truck
Yeah, I love the style for sure, but there is no room nor enough $$ for three projects as I'm sure most of you can relate to.
I have considered ebay, but nicer trucks have gone for much less. I may do that as a second-to-last resort ![]() |

Re: My 1967 Panel Truck
post on craigslist in as many cities as you can. most of the interest in my panel has come from this source. have patience...these are vehicles that only a few niche buyers apreciate. if you have not gotten any bites for your truck assume you are asking too much...try offering a "lower" price until you get some interest, you can always decline to sell. this should give you a ballpark on the demand for your vehicle. never be impatient to sell.
i have gotten alot of interest in my panel only after dropping the price below $2500. when i initially began to advertise it for $3500 i got zero interest for 6 months. remember what you want for it and what you get for it are almost always different unless you are willing to wait for that one buyer who simply must have it regardless of the price. good luck!

Re: My 1967 Panel Truck
Taking all of this in, does $1,900 still sound like too much to ask?

Re: My 1967 Panel Truck
Distance is the killer for most deals on this Forum. I would have your panel if it wasnt such a drive.
