81 to 66 rear end swap ?

Just wondering are most of you making your own weld on pads to do this swap and how are you doing the panhard mount on the rearend. I want to save the rearend in the truck to put back in when I add the OD trans Thats why I dont want to cut of the stock mounts. Im thinking you need to make the panhard longer so you can weld a mount to the tube and not the center section is this right? Thanks

Re: 81 to 66 rear end swap ?

I used an aftermarket kit I bought at a swap meet. They have adjustable kits that are easy to mount. Check with some of the site vendors , they should be able to help you out.
