Re: This should rattle all of the bolts off of the old burb...

I got the first amplifier hooked up last night- the 4 channel. I decided instead of running speaker wires to each of the speakers, I would utilized the factory wiring. So, I ran the 4ga wire back from the battery to a distro block, pulled the head unit, soldered/heat shrink amp speaker wires to my factory harness adapter, soldered/heat shrink up the remote wire, installed RCA's and then ran it all back to under the middle seats where the amps will live.

I hooked up the 4 channel, but didn't get a chance to do the sub amp yet. Sounds GREAT. The amp has high pass filters with adjustable low freq cutoff, so I was able to cutout all of the low stuff that the 2-way speakers hated. I am keeping a lower load on the amp (4ohm x 4) as opposed to 2ohm x 2 to keep the amp happy and keep me from blowing the speakers.

Cool!
