Seat Re-Upholstery
Anyone ever buy the seat re-uholstering kits from The Truck Shop? I am curious if I should go to a local shop and see if they can do a better, less expensive job or if I should buy the "already done" cover.

really depends on what you're going for, "factory correct" or just clean comfortable and similar for a driver// for driver quality with materials similar to factory or custom picked by you you can get it done for quite a bit less and hold up quite well for many years if you shop wisely and get a good upholstery shop

I had a local guy do mine in my 65, he redid the springs, cut new foam, 3 different types and layers, and used that naugahide vinyl charge me 150 bucks. Has been in my cab for 2 years feels comfortable but won't know until I get the truck together

hmmm.. ok then. sounds like I should take it to a shop and at least see what it will run me. having the springs redone sounds good.
