5 well ok now 6 truck retrieval progress!

A couple weeks ago I made a post about 5 trucks that I bought, well I made some progress on getting the field ready to get the trucks out and thought I would share some more pics.

This first truck is one that I had not intended on buying for some reason. But last week I found out my fenders on my project were aftermarket and since that won’t work for me I decided to take another look at this one. Turns out it’s a 72 swb with a lot of good sheet metal I need and a 72 frame to boot. I have 2-69 frames but was really wanting a 72.

All 6 of V8’s and transmissions are there and look fairly complete. They are pretty nasty looking, but I guess they would be worth something?

That grill looks pretty nice. Hopefully that window wasn't always down. I don't think I have ever seen that much dirt caked up on and engine before. Still looks good though.

Looking forward to the rest of your pictures and progress.

I would bet all you see is some of that good old West Texas red dirt. There is a lot of sand storms in West Texas. I live in Centeral Texas and during certain times of the year you can see the Sand storms coming all the way from West Texas the sky will have a errie red glow.

NO, I don't THINK they were ever flooded, we have not had a flood around here since the GREAT ONE, just alot of years of sitting through dust storms.

TEXASC10-I rolled the window down on the yellow one this morning.
84 400-I bought them as a package deal!
AARONS72S - I like that orange/white one too but if is rougher than it looks but does have a very nice air cab
1969 GMC-There are around 30 or so total. 7-67-72's and most of the others are internationals and others.
SHORTYMAC83- It is a big window 67, Its amazes me what these trucks would bring in other places. Here I would lucky to get 450. for it.
1969/C10-I need to, I have a place to put as many as I need, Just a lack of manpower/time.

I will include some pics of the other 3 that were not covered in trees for you other guys that might have missed that post.

I really like this black truck for some reason, and it would be the one to build if I could get the title and if I was a 67-68 person.

Thats some cool iron! What were the brackets on the inner fender of the red 67 used for? They look original, and ive never noticed any before.

The 5th picture of your red 67 (the one showing the engine), I think you better check the V8 looks like a V6 to me. That and I want first dibs on sheetmetal from the front end, since you arn't a 67/68 type guy.
