My '64 project
New to the board. Project is a '64 Chevy C10 shortbed. I bought the truck about 10 years ago from the next door neighbor, drove it around the block once and then tore it all down with intentions of restoring. Built a 10x12 shed to put the cab and all parts into while I worked on the truck and then kids, family, ballgames, work, etc. took priority and the project was put on hold for the next 10 years. Finally, about 2 months ago made the decision to either sell it all or finish it. As you can see by the pictures I decided to finish. Frame is done, engine done, cab at a friends bodyshop getting new rockers and some sheetmetal. Working steadily on it now and hope to have it done by Christmas.
Oh yeah, located in Middle TN here. No garage to work in other than one of those "garage in a box" kits I bought from the local Tractor Supply. Works great to keep everything out of the weather but with cold weather coming it's going to be tough to meet my deadline. |

Thanks Hemmit! Here's a couple pictures of the cab taken a few weeks ago on the day I dropped it off at the beadblaster shop. Looks like original color was blue.

Re: My '64 project
I have a shop and my stuff doesn't look as good or as complete.
Proves where there is a will there is a way. Nice work |

Sweet truck! I to am in your situation minus the kids. I bought my truck 3 years ago and haven't done much but drive it some but now its starting to develop problems like wiring and other things. I'm in the process now of finding somewhere to DISMANTEL it and start from scratch. Best of luck to you and keep us posted on the truck.
