One of the board members here did those, he has them posted in the photoshop forum somewhere.

here is the link to his thread. You may want to ask him before you go and start hacking up his artwork, he may not appreciate it to much.

Re: pretty cool 3d pics of a 67 shortbed
It's not like I'm doing it to his original work. If he doesn't appreciate it all he has to do is ask me to remove them....

Re: pretty cool 3d pics of a 67 shortbed
Here's my take on this:
The photos posted in this thread were copied and pasted so there is no way to tell where they originated from. If the original designer of any artwork is concerned about other people using his work they should put their logo on it like some of the guys do in the Photoshop Forum. I will not use or modify any picture or artwork floating around the internet if it has a logo or copyright notice on it. If it doesn't it's fair game. LockDoc

Re: pretty cool 3d pics of a 67 shortbed
See my last post.... Still my take on the subject. If they don't have a logo or copyright notice on the image there is no way in the world to tell where they came from. Period!!

Don't be so sure that because there isn't a visible copyright ,and especially watermarks, that it isn't actually one there. When dealing with any electronic media, be very careful with what you take for granted. For what it's worth, I don't think Carter would get bent out of shape over a top chop to one of his pics. He is a laid back guy and has always shared his newest graphics here with us. In other words, he is one of us. But, it's always a good idea (and good manners) to ask permission when one borrows the very thing that a guy makes his living with. Think about your livelihood and what it takes to do it, would you get pissed if you caught someone using your tools without permission? Last edited by Shane; 10-19-2006 at 11:03 PM. |

Re: pretty cool 3d pics of a 67 shortbed
C'mon guys ease up. I don't think Carter would take offense to someone playing with his stuff. It's not like he's trying to take credit for Carters work.
Carter knows the proportions aren't exactly perfect. This is something he built from scratch, not a copy of anything. Mad props to the guy for getting as far along as he has with it...

Enjoy and hopefully I will have another slick project to post soon. Carter ----- I really gotta change my avatar ------- Last edited by Blaz-air; 01-03-2007 at 12:07 AM. |

Re: pretty cool 3d pics of a 67 shortbed
Hey Blaz-air,
It's comments like yours that make me glad I found this place. I've been to a bunch of boards where everybody whines, flames, b**ches, and moans about the slightest thing, and its usually just to get a rise out of someone else. I love mining the knowledge and experience here. 99.9% of the posters are just trying to help, ask an honest question, or add to the knowledge/intrest base. BTW, I've seen some of the other work you've posted here, and you've got good taste. I likey. Sorry 'bout the warm fuzzys guys, but just wanted to add my $0.02.

Oh man, choppiing those things did not look good at all. 67-72 trucks should not be chopped at all.
