help me with some decisions on a buy

well, I've got a couple of options right now on trucks. I've looked at a few and have heard the storys from the sellers how there are only a few left and that their rusted out pieces of crap were worth 1500 bucks. So I've found two that have struck my fancy for a project.
first one. 1968 long bed three speed column shift six cylinder. no power brakes or steering. cab is in decent shape, bed is rusted, over all OK shape but certainly nothing beautiful. interior is shot. 750 bucks

second c30 hydraulic dump bed six cylinder three on a tree, dually. little rough, 500 bucks.

my plans are to bagg what ever I get and drop spindles in the front along with bags. Its possible also that the rear will get four linked and either notched or just build a complete back half of the frame similar to what fnlow69 did. feedback is
thanks again

Re: help me with some decisions on a buy

Both sound like pretty OK deals, but I try to NEVER pay full price/asking price for anything. See if you can get them to budge.... money talks. If not, I say they are still a decent price.

Re: help me with some decisions on a buy

well, so far I have the guy worked down to 750 it was a grand, but that was only one visit. i"m hoping for 600 for that one. I just don't know about teh dually, I haven't really decided if I even think I like that idea. my other question is, did these truck come with power brakes, I mean is that common to not have them. and no power steering either.

one nice thing about a dually, assuming it has fat fenders, is you can tub it some w/o cutting the bed
