i have located 2 5 lug rears and am trying to determine ratios. i have scraped crud off all over the housing and cant fint any codes. would help if i had an idea where to locate. tired of cleaning housings in junk yard. 1 of them had the rear cover off and i counted teeth on ring and pinion but numbers didnt figure right. 43 in ring 22 on pinion. any help would be appreciated.

Look on the pass. side tube about six in. out from housing and on the front side almost to the top. they are stamped no's and hard to see sometimes.

Hey DMEC, Let me know if you come across a 3.07 that you dont want for yourself, I haven't found one yet around here. What ratio are you looking for?

ok paintpyro ill keep an eye out but pickings are getting mighty slim at pick a part. iim looking for 3.07 or 3.73. like to find a posi. went back this morning to try to check on axle code and someone had pulled the axles already. if you dont get it when you find it its gone. too much competetion. theres another complete leaf spring there but its setting on ground. havent taken the time or effort to jack it up scrape it and check vin in this heat.
