Re: eye candy of my 79 stepside

wow really nice pair of trucks. IS your dad selling his off? that would be too bad but i hope it goes to a good home if that is the case. by the way i noticed the "pncho" emblem on the rear fender. Does that black truck have a 455 learking in there or somthing?

oh and the 400 is a great choice. I thought i was one of the only ones ha ha ha

Re: eye candy of my 79 stepside

thanks for the comments again. i dig those late model grilles but im more a fan of the 73-80 trucks, with the fender lines and hoods.

nah its got a 350 chevy under it, haha good point though. he used to own a few pontiacs and had some parts lieing around so he wanted to experiment with the fender markers and what not, the marker is actually a third brake light.

he was selling it and still might sell it depending on whoever may be interested... he blew the headgasket and were dropping a 400 with the original trans(700R4) while thats underway hes gonna have a shop sandblast the firewall and do some rust repair..

before he blew the headgasket, we wanted $5-6K but no one in hawaii is serious to pay for what you get.... well see what kind of offers we can make afterwards

Re: eye candy of my 79 stepside

I can't decided if I am digging the bumper or not. I wanted one for my truck, but it does take away from the smooth lines in the front. Do you like it and does it seem that the quality is good?

Re: eye candy of my 79 stepside

yea this bumper is awesome, doesnt get any better than that. the lights are hella bright too, sad to say but brighter than the headlights. i always liked the round light in the front bumper, kinda like them chevelles, 69 camaros, etc...

and no shet you lived on oahu? awesome, i reside on that island now

Re: eye candy of my 79 stepside

Yeah, had some buddies who rented an apartment in Waipahu. I lived on the sub base for most of my time, but when I got married I got a house out by Barber's Point.
