Finally got new stereo system installed
Here's my new system:
Panasonic HU w/ ipod input Punch 3.5 in dash Qlogic kick panels Punch 5.25" components 4 8" punch subs in sealed box Soundstream xta600.5 amp running it all. Sounds good. Not too bassy, but loud enough... |

Re: Finally got new stereo system installed
Sweet, I really like your sub setup.. in my '77 i have a real similar sub setup but with only 2 8" mtx subs.. its sounds not half bad, lemme tell ya.
the small size of the cab, and the fact that the subs are right behind your back, make up for the small size of the sub and low power to them (im my setup)...... 8" subs sounds great for rock music, too because they hit so fast mike |

Where'd ya get the kickpanel pods? I'm needing to get my stereo system changed, but I have too many other issues right now.

Re: Finally got new stereo system installed
Hey stereo looks nice! How do those 8 inch subs sound? I've got one 10 that is pretty old. It is an old Pheonix Gold that had a pretty shallow mounting depth, around 4 3/4. All the new hi perf. subs today are way too deep for my box and I have been contemplating two 8's instead of one 10.
Also, if anyone knows, why won't the Q-form pods fit the 73-78 trucks. I've got A/C in my 75 and it looks very similar to your 85. Just curious. |

Re: Finally got new stereo system installed
the 8's sound good, they could use more power.
They can hit hard, but sound good for rock... |
