Question What Headers with Vortec Heads?

been looking through summit , maybe I am not searching correctly, but I cant find any headers for use with vortec heads that fit our trucks. Anybody went this route and found the right headers?

Re: What Headers with Vortec Heads?

Correct me someone if I am wrong, but I believe standard smallblock headers will bolt right up to vortec heads. I know a couple guys runnin vortecs and thats what they have. This is also assuming that you are talking about the regular vortec heads and not for a 5.3 or 6.0 Litre late model stuff.

Your right, if your talking about the "standard" vortec heads on a regular old sbc.

Re: What Headers with Vortec Heads?

I put '96 truck Vortec heads on my Vette and used the old headers. Fit fine and fantastic performance boost.

Re: What Headers with Vortec Heads?

Thorley has headers for these trucks that fit Vortec heads...Using them on our RamJet. Might have to trim the frame a little to fit, but not anything difficult.
