Re: Got ne marshmellows??
Wasn't that a new engine? Or am I thinking of someone else?

Re: Got ne marshmellows??
What do you mean by "Intake valve let go"? Did the valve stem break? If so, what does your piston look like? Did you over rev it?

Re: Got n e marshmellows??
Yes, it was a brand new engine!!! like only 6 months old, only running for maybe 3 hours.... during breakin we hered a odd tick, well, it finally let go on the side of the road. it was just a freak accident, the rod bent, then the lifters went all side ways, causing obnormal wear... and yea.... (see pics)

Re: Got n e marshmellows??
That really sux. Damage to body looks fixable from what I can see, did it burn the paint off of the hood ? Did the retainer break and then swallow a valve ? I wish they sold bad luck insurance, for when sh*t like that happens

Re: Got n e marshmellows??
whell you should still have a garantee on the motor if not find the retainer back before doing any work on the motor .
there goes my confidence in rebuild or new motors (think i will rebuild it myself now )
