Re: my 79 gmc.. what do u think?
Welcome to the board from South Mississippi! My brother used to live in Thomasville, he works for Flowers bakery, he used to live in the trailer park next to that huge estate (the company's owners place I think).

Re: my 79 gmc.. what do u think?
wow welcome and nice start! did you do it so far or is that how you got it? Looks like it has the hood crease that alot of these trucks gett. if you did it looks great so far and looks like you put some time in. if not some one did one heck of a start for you. is it on bags?

Re: my 79 gmc.. what do u think?
well i got the truck like it sits. and yes its bagged. but the only thing im really not going to have to re do is the shaving on the bed. the body work was done right. it has a straight 6 in it with a 3 speed but i already have a 350 with an automatice tranny thats going in it. and im going to change the front end over to a 81-87 front clip. but ill keep posting pics as i progresse. and if there is anyone out there that knows where a 81-87 chevy is that i can get cheap let me know. all i want off of it is the cab and front clip.

Re: my 79 gmc.. what do u think?
I belive switching to the newer front clip will involve some cowle work but am not 100% on that as i know some mods need to be done to switch back to the older front clip. Also being a 81 to 87 owner i know a comon mod is a 87 to 91 suberban or blazer front clip as they are alittle diffrent and require a diffrent rad support and grill and headlights but it is pretty comen to find them and it would be worth doing that now if you like them better. Just a suggestion though eather way it will be a killer truck when finished
Good luck and these guys are great with info and ideas

Looks pricey ($$$), but cool!
I'm saving up for some light bodywork on mine. All it takes is the $$$... Keep up the good work!

Re: my 79 gmc.. what do u think?
I love the 80 model year, especially mine, but 79 was the epitome of the entire model run.
