1" or 1.25" rotors?
I need brakes and rotors on my 86. How do I tell what thickness of rotors I have? Can I convert to the 1.25" rotors if I have the 1" rotors now, or will I have to change spindles and calipers for that?

In order to get 1.25" rotors you have to change spindes and calipers also. It's a total swap, spindles, rotors and calipers.
Oh, and to tell what thickness of rotors you now have it's just a simple matter of measuring them.

Mine has the light duty, 1" ones. You won't know unless you measure it.

What if they're worn down pretty thin? What's the minimum thickness?

1.25 rotors are not likely to be worn below 1.0,although, it is stamped on the back of the rotor
