New Guy from Rockford, Illinois

Hello all,

Having a starting problem with my 1969 Chevy C-10 350/400 SWB. But i'll look through the posts on this before I ask for help. Its got me stumped though.

Mine is a daily driver and i love it but it needs to go back in for a freshener. Anyone know of a good body shop in Northern Illinois or southern wisconsin?

Anyway, thanks for being here, i'll be in touch.

Ted

Welcome to the board from South Mississippi! I've been to Rockford, but it was in the dead of night and no one saw me. Actually I was about 13 at the time riding with my dad (truckdriver).

Re: New Guy from Rockford, Illinois

Hey Ted, welcome to the board. I used to live in Rockford back in 1980---on Lippencott Lane.
To figure out starting issues, start real simple like making sure the plugs are getting to spark---. If that is happening, then more then likely it is a fuel issue so try pouring a little bit of gas into the carb with the choke wide open--and crank it to see what happens.
It it is trouble cranking--check battery charge, then connections, then ---well, perhaps you need to check the above before we get to fancy~~. Huck
