So you want to know if you can cap one of the outlets on the dual out mufflers and keep flow equal with a single in signle out 40.

It will flow less but would it cause any issues performance wise, not likely but if you were to run an H pipe right before the muffler it would help equalize the pressure between the 2 different mufflers.

I'd personally just use the dual out muffler or wait save the $60 for another 40 like the one you have now.

Re: Exhaust Question

You'll be fine running both Flows, but it'll be LOUD dumping the exhaust in front of the axle, both inside and outside

Re: Exhaust Question

so its okay to run duals even thought one flowmaster is a single out and the other is a dual outlet? i have the single already installed and dumped but to me just isnt that loud, i want both with headers but didnt know if i would hurt anything by having one single outlet flomaster and one dual outlet flowmaster both dumped seeing how the dual outlet would get more air flow than the single...

Re: Exhaust Question

Just plug one side of the dual outlet and you'll have virtually the same flow as the single outlet.

Re: Exhaust Question

I would keep the dual Flow and get rid of the sinle one, i'm running a 3" single exhaust from the Y-pipe to a 3" Magnaflow cat to the 3"in dual 2.5 out Flow dumped in front of the axle and it's plenty loud that it will set off car alarms
