Pulley configurations by part numbers - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I was searching for a part number online and came across a list of different pulley configurations by part numbers and models for 67 and 68 Camaros. I was thinking that something like that would be a good idea for our trucks.

So first I guess I looking for feed back on the idea and sources of these part numbers.

The easiest way i though was to get people the had the original set up on their truck to list the part numbers of the pulleys, year and options on that truck and I could organize these in excel for a FAQ or something.

So what do you think?

I've got a pair of upper and lower pulleys and alternator bracket for a 1971 small block from a C-10 with a/c and p/s if that helps. Dean

It has to start somewhere I will look through what I have, only problemn is I have a bunch of mis matched stuff, however, I could give measurements?????

You also have to list it with different configuration then...if it had Power steering , air conditioning, air pump, heavy duty alternator, type of engine...same truck with a V8 could have a number of different configurations.

The GM parts books are fairly helpful, as they list the application of V8 with PS and such. You have to flip around the book some as water pump pulleys are a different group section than crank pulleys. As a package of all pulleys needed for "this" application would be the ideal source.

All in all it could be done. Best way would be to have people list what there pullies are... but you have to take them off to see some of the part numbers. Hoping they have original stuff.

I figured that having people list what was on their truck with the options would be best but i guess that is easier said that done since you have to remove the pullies. Does anyone know of a book that has this info. I was looking at the chevy truck by the numbers book but didn't know if it would have that info. Does anyone know if it does?
