rust proofing ?

I have just cleaned all the grease and grime off of my 72 cheyenne super pickup frame. The body is off. I am planning on having it sandblasted next week, as I have been told this is the best way to go about it. The bare metal will be exposed for at least 2 months while I am doing the other restoration and engine work. What is the best way to protect the frame from rust during this period? Thank you in advance for your help.

Re: rust proofing ?

well if your going to have the frame completely stripped for blasting concider having it galvanized. it's cheap and leaving the galvanized exposed for a few months isn't going to affect your final product provided you clean it prior to paint. as an extra perk it will help protect your frame and give it esentuly a second line of protection against that 4 letter word we all hate "rust".

Re: rust proofing ?

I would pick up some epoxy primer and spray the truck.
