Wanted: 6 lug slotted mags
I need a set of (2) 8 inch wide AND (2) 7 inch wide slotted mags. Need 6 lug. Prefer 16 inch but will take 15 inch. Reason for different sizes is that I am installing a disc brake kit which are 1.5 inches wider so I don't want the fronts to stick out more than the rears.
By the way, does anyone make new 16 inch slotted mags? American Racing only makes 15's or 17's... the 15's are kinda small looking and the 17's are too blingy looking...is that a word? Blingy? |

Re: Wanted: 6 lug slotted mags
Those are tough to come by. It took me years to find a set, but I finally got some cool old ones from the 60's. Look on older toyota trucks, they have the same lug pattern if i'm not mistaken.

Re: Wanted: 6 lug slotted mags
backspacing might be more important than the rim width. You could always add spacer to the front if it comes down to it...my 2cents

Re: Wanted: 6 lug slotted mags
Newstalgia wheel makes a good looking slotted mag similar to the old ones in 16 inch but I couldn't see 6 bolt anywhere on their site. IIRC Byrd has a set on the back of his project 67, maybe he is willing to part with them?

Re: Wanted: 6 lug slotted mags
Do you mean add a spacer to the rear ... since the front will be widened by adding the disc brake conversion thereby creating the problem??...??? if so, Not a bad idea....didn't think of that...who makes spacers?....

Re: Wanted: 6 lug slotted mags
I have a set of 6 bolt aluminum slots but they are on a 72 4x4 Blazer and are 15's. These are the nicest set of slots I have actually seen. I think they are 8's though. I will be taking them off in the next few weeks to put on the 18's I just ordered.

Re: Wanted: 6 lug slotted mags
I will be interested in buying them. Are they 15x8? What brand wheels are they (if you can tell)? Ansen or ET or ? Thanks and send a pic. You may have them sold already.

Re: Wanted: 6 lug slotted mags
Hi Jody,
Would you have a reference or picture of what you want? I have a set of the rare, hard to find mags on my truck. I don't care for them. I like the original rims with hubcaps. My rims are 15 with 6 lugs. Respectfully

Re: Wanted: 6 lug slotted mags
Here is what I am referring to. They are old school mags from the 70's, which is the look I am going after....
