stereo issues
I put a cd player in my 87 but it only works if the parking lights are on. I tried hooking it up a couple times to try to switch wires around but got the same outcome. I have heard of otehr trucks havin the same problem and was wondering if there was anyway to correct it??

Re: stereo issues
did you tap the wrong wire? Red should go to ignition on (clearly labeled on my fuse box), Yellow to constant battery (also clearly marked), and black to ground. For it to only work with lights on, I think you tapped the wrong wire, you tapped the switched fuse for the Headlights, not ignition switch.

Re: stereo issues
^Yeah, what he said. U had to have put the red wire (main power) or yellow (constant batt. power) into the parking light fuse. It should be in the igniton fuse.
