65 Suburb to 64 Truck Parts Swap
Hello Everyone..
I just got a 64 C20 Fleetside Long bed, Auto with a 350 a few months ago. My dad has a 65 or 64 Suburban that he's ready to scrap and I can pull whatever parts off of it that I want. So, big question, What will fit on the 64 truck?? Doors, bumpers, grill, fenders, hood, anything?? I already pulled the wiring harness and it's pretty close, if not the same.. Thanks, Elias |

The suspension on the burb is the same as a short fleet......................everything from the doors forward will interchange with your pick-up...............are there any good burb parts left that are usable.............back doors or lift gate.......... side rear window openers........slide arms for the doors or lift gate..............if so, they are worth your time to save these as they are hard to find parts............Hemmit

Re: 65 Suburb to 64 Truck Parts Swap
What's wrong with it?? Well, my dad bought two suburbans about 10 years ago. I think one is a 65 and the other is a 64. He has the title and current registration for one, but the other.... nothing.
The one that has the title is running and needs to be restored. The "other" one, has the engine in back and all the glass, rear lift gate, doors, almost everything except the rear seat and wiring.. It just has been sitting outside in the dessert for about 10 years.. The rust is not too bad, just the normal spots. My dad just wants to get rid of both of them because he doesn't have the time to put in them.. He also has a 64 or 65 Chevy dump truck that he wants to get rid of.. So, I'm up for suggestions. We just don't want to put a whole lot of time into them.. Thanks, Elias |

it is not hard to get a tittle for the other one. They can be sold on e bay or somewhere else. If it has been off the books for 10 years then it is not in the system and then I believe you do a lien sale on it. They can give you the paperwork at DMV..
