Re: what i got done this weekend..........

that was probably the first time this truck been driven in 3+ years. yeah!!!

i picked up my drive shaft and some flowmaster fakies on friday. tried starting it and it fouled up and chewed up the flexplate???? messed with the starter and recharged the battery and it worked great till tonight when it started chewing the flexplate again and i think the battery ran flat again. i was hot wiring the truck with a coil power and jump starter switch so it was running only off the battery. BUT IT DROVE!!!!!! i so freaking geeked right now.

by the way, i really dig the tubbs, did you make them from 2/3 welded together?

Re: what i got done this weekend..........

I met up with NPilot1975 and we BS'd a while before I bought a wiring harness off him for my LT1...good fella. I cleaned up the disembodied engine/trans with a variety of cleaners and Oriellys house brand engine degreaser and a 4 pack of toothbrushes from the Dollar Tree did the best. I also started working on putting the new suspension back together.

was able to talk wayne out of it after a picnic this year (he was beating around the bush buying it) but yes they are two stock wheel wells welded together. they did a great job on it.
by the way i would love it if my body was that straight. i would have had it painted already. i need rockers atleast along with new front fenders and doors. yours looks to be dam straight. i would have it done by now if mine was that straight.

Re: what i got done this weekend..........

I removed about 500 pounds of red neck junk from my truck.

Started with the gun rack - no idea what I am going to do with it...anyone want it...LOL
Next came the winch and snow plow/grill guard thing on the front (grill guard thing will be given away if anyone wants it) That winch was never shakijng loose...I think he had about 25 pounds of angle iron holding it in. The grill and winch had to be 100#.
Next came the propane mixer and its steel braided tubing on the front of the truck under the hood.
Then the two propane tanks and the metal strapping on the bed (got to be 250#) (giving away for scrap steel)

I should now get an extra 1.5 mpg.

That is what I did...

I also found old muscles I have not used in a while.
