How big of a tire....
How big of a tire can be run on a 72 4x4. I am looking at a set of 31x10.5 Mickey T's. I would like to go taller and/or wider. When will I start to run into problems? I have 8" ralleys on the truck.
Thanks! 910

Re: How big of a tire....
I have 33x12.50x16.5 on a '71 k20 and they rub the fender wells on a stock suspension. So I would think the 31" would fit without to much trouble. Not sure if the K10's have the same clearance as the K20's though.

31's will run with plenty of room.

No problem with 31" tires on stock suspension.

Re: How big of a tire....
One of the best riding stock trucks I ever drove was a 69 burb with 31x10.50x15 ATs. It was for sale in very decent on-frame resto for $4K. Man did I miss out on one there. (about 14 yrs ago)
